Middle School
Welcome to our Middle School program at Independence Christian. Our program allows children in early adolescents to experience a rich and vibrant program that challenges them in diverse subject areas. In addition to our excellent academic programs, students have the opportunity to participate in athletics and sports, performing arts, music and much more.
Our children are enriched by one-on-one learning in our small class sizes which allows students to thrive within our full breadth of academics.
Independence Christian prepares students for the academic challenges of high school and college. Our success is proven in our state standardized testing in which our school consistently scores in the top 1/4th of the students in United States. We excel and mathematics and reading.
We are additionally able to measure the success of our program by grade-point averages. Students who earn an academic GPA of 3.75 or above are recognized as Principal’s Award students. Students who earn an academic GPA of 3.50 to 3.74 are recognized as Honor Roll students.
Our curriculum goes beyond academic measures by providing students with a biblical worldview and fulfilling our mission statement by teaching each that they are fearfully and wonderfully made by God. To fulfill this mission, all personnel of Independence Christian must first and foremost give evidence that they have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Then, they must display good parental traits. Finally, they must be able to teach, which is why a majority of our teachers have Masters degrees in Education. All of these qualifications are essential in order to have a properly balanced role model. This is the part the teacher plays in a child’s life.
